Published on January 23, 2017Show choir competed at Dallas Center Grimes on Saturday, Jan. 21. Acapella placed 1st in 3A and 2nd overall. Jarod Martens won best soloist. Bravo won 1st in Prep and 5th overall.

Acapella and Bravo competed at West Branch on Saturday, Jan.14. Bravo placed 2nd in Prep. and 6th in Finals. Acapella placed 2nd in 3A and 1st in Finals.
Senior Ashton Messor broke the wrestling record of 59 varsity career pins on Dec. 3 at the Montezuma Invitational. He now holds the record at 62 and counting with most of the season still left. Sixteen students from Mrs. Hones’ biology and honors biology classes attended a microbiology workshop at Iowa State University on Friday, November 11. Throughout the workshop, students received hands-on training and experience with minuscule samples in a modern laboratory facility.
