Preparing For Tomorrow’s Challenges
“Upon the subject of education, not presuming to dictate any plan or system respecting it, I can only say that I view it as the most important subject which we as a people can be engaged in. That every man may receive at least, a moderate education, and thereby be enabled to read the histories of his own and other countries, by which he may duly appreciate the value of our free institutions, appears to be an object of vital importance…” -Abraham Lincoln, To the People of Sangamo County: Political Announcement, March 9, 1832
Lincoln Elementary serves about 250 Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd grade students. There is one section of pre-Kindergarten that meets all day, three days per week (M-W-F), and three sections each of Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Lincoln Elementary is a Leader In Me school where we believe that everyone has genius and the ability to lead, and we teach and support the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People throughout our school day. At Lincoln, we support our students’ varied needs through academic intervention and extension, Special Education and English Language programs, and with a robust social, emotional, and behavioral system. If you are interested in touring Lincoln Elementary, please reach out to our main office. We’d love to show off our amazing school!
