News Pella Middle School Students Pack 23,500 Meals to Fight Hunger

Published on April 22, 2024

For the past eight years, the students of Pella Middle School have dedicated themselves to supporting those facing hunger. Through their partnership with Meals from the Heartland, they have packaged an astounding 180,000 meals during this time frame. This year, their commitment to making a difference was as strong as ever. Once again, students came together with Meals from the Heartland to package 23,500 meals. These meals will provide essential nourishment for 90 children throughout the entire year.

Under the guidance of Middle School teacher Kristin Schulz, student council members organized and oversaw the meal packaging event, held at the middle school this past Friday. Working together, students formed assembly lines to efficiently package the meals. On behalf of the middle school, Student Council President Abrianna Mass presented a $3,500 check to Meals for the Heartland, underscoring the students’ commitment to making a difference.
