News Pella Middle School Packs Over 22,000 Meals to Fight Hunger

Published on May 5, 2025

On Friday, April 25, Pella Middle School students and staff came together for a powerful cause—packing more than 22,000 meals for families in need through Meals from the Heartland. The initiative was made possible through a generous $4,000 grant from the Pella Community Foundation.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of students, teachers, and volunteers, the meals packed will provide food for 85 children for an entire year. This hands-on service project not only addressed global hunger but also gave students an opportunity to learn the value of giving back to their communities and the world. The event was filled with energy, teamwork, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

Great job, Pella Middle School—you’re making a real impact!
