Published on September 28, 2021

Pella Middle School received an honorable mention for the state of Iowa’s School of Character award for the 2020-2021 school year given by the The Robert D. and Billie Ray Center at Drake University. Lyndon Norton (class of 2026), Sydney Namminga and Rylie VanVark (class of 2025), Mrs. Belding, 8th grade PE & Health teacher, and parents wrote letters to support our school in hopes of winning the Iowa School of Character award. We are grateful to all who supported this endeavor, and more importantly, we are grateful to serve students, parents, and a community that values education as well as partners with us in this educational journey.
