News 7th Grade pack 20,700 Meals from the Heartland
Published on February 10, 2017The 7th grade class at Pella Middle School packed 20,700 meals in the middle school on Thursday, February 9. Hannah Nedder, a 7th grader in Mrs. (Kristin) Schulz’s Social Studies class wrote and obtained a $2000 grant toward this project as a result of the annual 7th grade social studies “Go Make a Difference/Change the World” problem solving task. A matching $2000 MftH (Meals from the Heartland) Youth Grant and a small amount of the profits from the seventh grade students’ concession stand and jersey sale business were also used to pay for the transportation of MftH supplies. Great job making a difference 7th graders!
