News October Visitors

October was a fun month of visitors for Madison Elementary.   

Mrs. Roozeboom’s kindergarten class had a special visitor come to help them learn more about Community Helpers. Brett the Vet, from Pella Pets, came to teach the class about what he does as a veterinarian and how to take care of their pets.   

Mr. White (2nd grade teacher Mrs. Zimmerman’s father) also visited the whole school and shared with us the process of raising pumpkins and gourds. He incorporated some failures he has had while growing them, and encouraged the children to always try again!  The children were all so excited when they found out they could take a gourd home with them!
