News Lincoln Hosts a Birthday Celebration in Remembrance

On Wednesday, January 24th, Lincoln Elementary celebrated the birthday of our former student, Milly Zellmer. Milly was a preschooler at Lincoln that passed away last winter after a sledding accident. The whole school dressed in her favorite color (pink!) and came together to participate in an assembly in her honor. All students and staff participated in her favorite song and dance from preschool, “Tooty-Ta,” which was a joyful celebration of Milly’s spirit.
Milly’s classmates, now in kindergarten, had a special birthday treat from the Zellmer family and sang the “Happy Birthday” song to her. Our hope is to keep Milly’s spirit alive through acts of kindness, silly fun, and the color pink!
