News From Classroom to Garden: Lincoln 3rd Graders Celebrate Tulips in Full Bloom

Last fall, Lincoln 3rd grade students helped plant one of the tulip beds at the Sunken Gardens—a meaningful connection to Pella’s rich Dutch heritage. Throughout the year, they’ve been able to watch their hard work grow right from their learning pod window. Recently, they saw the tulips in full bloom and captured a special photo with them! What a wonderful way to connect classroom learning to our community’s traditions and history!
