News Fifth Graders Make a Big Impact: A Day of Learning and Service

Published on December 16, 2025

Our 5th graders had an incredible day on December 2 visiting the State Capitol and volunteering at Meals from the Heartland — and WOW did they make a difference! Together, our students helped raise money and package 39,000 meals, feeding approximately 120 children for an entire year. Their hard work, teamwork, and compassion were on full display. Experiences like this help our students:  Build stronger relationships as they collaborate, communicate, and support one another  Pursue excellence by stepping outside the classroom to make real-world impact  Grow as leaders who understand the power of service, empathy, and community So proud of our amazing 5th graders and the extraordinary effort they put into making the world a little brighter.
