News Pella High Presents Inaugural WorkSmart Connector Career Fair

On Wednesday, March 6, Pella High School hosted its first-ever WorkSMART Connector Career Fair. Over 60 members of the surrounding community presented to our students during iLead time, showcasing a variety of career options. Volunteers and students were grouped into Career Clusters based on their interests. Students had the opportunity to learn from volunteers about various professions, the requirements for entry, and the reality that career paths often involve twists and turns. Some students left feeling affirmed in their current direction, while others recognized the potential for change, which is perfectly acceptable. Still, some students continue to search for their path. We envision this inaugural Career Fair to become another annual piece of the collaborative efforts between our schools and communities to support our students on their individual journeys.
