News Jazz 1 Wins 1st Place at SCIBA

On December 9, the Pella High School Jazz 1 group traveled to Winterset High School for the South Central Iowa Band Association Jazz Festival. The jazz band performed their 3-piece set and finished in first place beating out Dallas Center-Grimes, Gilbert, and host-school Winterset. Winterset and the Pella Jazz 1 both qualified for the Iowa Jazz Championships on April 4 in Ames. See clips from the performance and an interview with Cameron Blom on Pelladium.com.
