
News WorkSMART & Career Academy Celebrate 38 Students Committing to Local Apprenticeships
Published on April 24, 2025WorkSMART Connector and the Career Academy of Pella joined a crowd of supporters to celebrate the commitment of 38 area high school students who recently enrolled in work-based learning apprenticeship and certificate opportunities with area employers. Students from Pella, Pella Christian, Prairie City-Monroe, Melcher-Dallas, Twin Cedars, North Mahaska, Ottumwa, and homeschool backgrounds are embarking on a journey to gain technical and on-the-job training necessary to earn certifications and/or college credits, all while earning a wage. Congratulations to all these new work-based learning students!
