News Sheila Graham Selected

Sheila Graham has been selected to be a member of the first Governor’s Teachers Cabinet.

Governor Kim Reynolds appointed Sheila, along with 6 other Iowa teachers, to be a member of the newly formed Cabinet. They will meet quarterly with Gov Reynolds, Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg and Iowa Department of Education Director Ryan Wise; giving them an opportunity to offer advice and have a more prominent voice in education policy and decisions.

Not only is Sheila an amazing welding instructor at the Career Academy, this new appointment is in addition to last year’s recognition as the 2017 American Welding Society Howard Adkins Instructor of the Year.
