News Kelsie Parton Named PT Special Education Director

Pella Community School District is excited to announce the hiring of Kelsie Parton for Pella PT Special Education Director. Kelsie, a long-time staff member at Pella Schools and currently a Special Education Teacher at the Middle School, has accepted the role as the half-time Special Education Director and will continue in her role half-time as a Special Education Teacher at the Pella Middle School, beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. 

Kelsie has worked as a Pella Middle School special education teacher since 2013. She also has a local non-profit called Launching Arrows that serves individuals with special needs in our surrounding communities. She is married to Ryan Parton who is an EHS technician at Vermeer. Before coming to Pella, Kelsie was a special education teacher in Montezuma School District and coached cheerleading and basketball.

I am looking forward to working alongside all of the amazing special education teachers that serve our students so well, and getting to continue my time in the classroom makes this opportunity even better. In my time at Pella, I have been surrounded by astounding examples of servant-hearted leadership and I look forward to continuing to serve and advocate for the staff, students and families in our community.”
