News Congratulations Jill Payne
Published on September 19, 2018Jill Payne has been named as one of three state finalists in the science category for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. This award is the nation’s highest honor for K-12 educators of math and science.
“These teachers are an inspiration to their students, colleagues and communities,” said Iowa Department of Education Director Ryan Wise. “As Iowa grows its commitment to science, technology, engineering and mathematics education, their leadership is especially important.”
This is a tremendous honor and we are thankful to Jill for the amazing work she does in our district. Congratulations!
