News Area Students Take Next Step at Work-Based Learning Signing Event

WorkSMART Connector and the Career Academy of Pella recently joined community supporters for a student signing event to recognize nearly 50 area high school students who have committed to work-based learning opportunities with local employers. Students from Pella High School, along with peers from other schools and homeschool backgrounds, are beginning hands-on experiences that will help them earn certifications and/or college credit—while also gaining valuable on-the-job training and earning a wage. Career pathways include patient care, welding, construction trades, manufacturing, EMT, education, business, and information technology. Congratulations to these students as they take this exciting step toward their future!
