DC4k is a nondenominational support group for children of families with absent parent, separation or divorce. A 13-week program that uses games, crafts, videos, music, puppets, exercise, stories & activities for children to learn to process current family dynamics.

The Grand Blue Mile, presented by Wellmark, is a one-mile run/walk in downtown Des Moines for all ages. New in 2025, Spike’s Sprint lets kids 10 & under race in three divisions and earn a special giveaway. Enjoy family fun with bounce houses, face painting, and the Mascot Madness race!

Students in grades 1st through 6th are welcome. Children will work on proper singing technique, reading music, and perform a variety of styles of choral music. The Pella Children’s Choir has local performances as well as performances in the Metro area with the other Iowa Youth Chorus groups.
