Sheila Winburn

Welding Instructor
  • Career Readiness (Career Academy)

I started teaching Welding at Pella in 2013. My husband’s name is Aaron Winburn. He is a farmer. I have three wonderful boys, four amazing stepchildren, a grandchild and two stepgrandkids. I have been welding since 1997.  I started at Vermeer in 1997 and it has been an occupation I have thoroughly enjoyed. I am excited about being able to inspire the students to try out this field in their high school career. It is something they will always have with them and teach them a skill that is in high demand. I went to college at Marshalltown Community College for Small Business Practitioner. I graduated in 2007. I have also taken several classes at Vermeer University.  I was the American Welding Society Howard Adkins Teacher of the year in 2016-2017. I have been on Governor Kim Reynolds Teacher’s Cabinet for the State of Iowa.
