A 2003 graduate of Wartburg College, I began my journey at Jefferson Intermediate in 2007 as a fourth-grade teacher. Over my career in education, I have had the privilege of serving students in multiple capacities—including teaching fourth grade, middle school math, and middle school special education. In 2023 I was honored to begin my career as the principal at Pella MS.

In addition to my work in the classroom and administration, I dedicated 10 years to serving as the Middle School Athletic Director.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my wonderful wife, Julia, and our three young kids. I am incredibly passionate about track and field, and I proudly direct and run the Pella Track Club.
