I grew up in Sioux City before going to Northwestern College in Orange City. After teaching in two other districts, I started in Pella in 2017. During my time at Pella, I’ve enjoyed taking on the challenge of pushing students to engage with literature and the world around them.

When I’m not at school, I spend as much time possible with my wife, Megan, and our three children. I love playing with them and seek each day to become more like my dad-idol, Bandit Heeler.
