Spanish Teacher
  • Foreign Language (High School)

I am originally from Jefferson, Iowa. After graduating from Jefferson-Scranton High School, I attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and received a secondary education teaching degree. I then obtained my Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2009 in Curriculum and Instruction.

I began teaching at Pella High School in 1999 and have been so fortunate to be a part of this district. I was a full-time teacher for the first couple of years, but have been working part-time for the majority of my time here in order to spend time my children. My husband, Aaron, and I have 4 children and reside in Cedar, Iowa, which is Southeast of Oskaloosa. We enjoy going to our children’s sporting events, which keep us busy most weekends. We are active in our church and enjoy visiting family in Jefferson when we can.
