I grew up in Denison, IA and attended the University of Northern Iowa, where I earned my degree in Instrumental/General Music Education (2022). I taught general music and co-taught beginning band at Interstate 35 Schools for 2 years before moving to Pella in 2025. My husband, Levi, grew up in Pella and we are very thankful to be living close to family and friends! My main instrument is the trumpet and I enjoy playing whenever I can, including in the Pella City Band. I love animals and we have 4 spoiled cats: Maple, Mango, Macaroni, and Minka (yes, we mix up their names often). Music has been my biggest passion from a young age and I’m living out my dream of being a music teacher – having fun, making music, and showing young people how music can change their lives for the better!
