I graduated in 2004 from Coe College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Reading Endorsement. I was a substitute teacher at Pella CSD in 2005-2006 until I took time off to start a family. I was a special education associate at Pella CSD for 6 school years. In 2023, I became a Special Education Teacher at Pella Middle School. I am enrolled at Northwestern College of Iowa where I’m working on my Master’s in Special Education.
My husband, Jeff, and I enjoy attending the activities of our 3 boys. This includes band, the Pella Shooting Team and Little League Baseball. We also enjoy raising animals for 4H. We are often caring for goats, chickens, ducks, and a dog. I love the challenge of learning new things. I hope to learn to weld soon. My favorite free time activity is designing and making quilts.
