I am originally from Spencer, Iowa. I attended the University of Northern Iowa where I graduated in 2010 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I started teaching the Gifted and Talented program in Spencer for 3 years, before moving to Pella in 2014. I then taught in Oskaloosa for 8 years, the last 7 of those were spent teaching 3rd grade. I was thrilled to start teaching second grade at Madison in Pella in 2022.
My husband, Tyler, and I have two children, Oliver and Annie. I enjoy spending time outside with my family, reading, playing games, going fishing, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings!
