I grew up in a small town in Northeast Iowa called Tripoli. I went to UNI for my undergraduate degree, which is where I met my wife Nikki, who also teaches in Pella. After graduation, I taught at Grinnell Middle School for 8 years. During that time, I received my master’s from Drake University. Prior to coming to Pella in 2022, I was a K-6 Principal at AGWSR in Wellsburg, Iowa. Other than having the pleasure of teaching 7th and 8th grade students, I have plenty to keep me busy. My two children, Colin and Molly, are involved in many activities. On weekends you may find us at Hawkeye games or at Lake Rathbun. When it gets cold, you will find us inside playing board games and enjoying good music. Please reach out any time to discuss mid-level science or teaching and learning at the middle school!
