I graduated from Wartburg College with a degree in elementary education. I continued my education at the University of Northern Iowa studying School Library Media Studies. I began working in the library at Pella High School in 2007 and my role expanded to the middle school in 2013. I enjoy matching the right book to the right student and helping staff expand their curriculum with technology.

In my free time I enjoy reading, walking, visiting art galleries and cheering the Cyclones and Dutch on to victory! I live on an acreage where my family raises rabbits, chickens, lambs and maintains a large vegetable garden.
