I was raised a small town girl in Leon, Iowa (home to the best rodeo ever!). I was first attracted to Pella by Central College and I loved it here so much I never left. I graduated from Central in 2004 with a degree in elementary education and a minor in Spanish. After spending as much time as I could in the Pella schools during college, I was blessed to be hired in the fall of 2004 to teach 5th grade language arts and science. Now, I teach 5th grade math and science. Best job ever!!!
My husband, Joshua, and I love living in Pella and don’t have any problems staying busy. When we aren’t playing with or chasing after our 4 kids (Elsie, Noah, Isabel, & Augustus), we enjoy spending as much time with our family and friends as possible. I also love to be outside, whether it be playing volleyball, running, biking, watching sports or just sitting around a campfire. Taking pictures, reading (mysteries are my favorite!), coffee, and the Denver Broncos are also on my favorites list!
