I’m originally from Defiance, Iowa, and graduated from Harlan Community High School. I come from a farm family and grew up with three brothers, so life was always busy. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in the spring of 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Math Education. I began my teaching career here in Pella right out of college and currently teach math at the high school. I’m naturally curious and love talking about just about anything; start a conversation and I’m all in. I’m also a big supporter of student activities in both the arts and athletics, and I love seeing students get involved outside the classroom. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, getting out of the house, and playing a casual game of tennis or pickleball.
