I grew up in Pella and attended the Pella Community Schools. I then attended Northwestern College, in Orange City, where I double majored in Elementary Education and Music Education. I also received my Reading Endorsement. After graduating, I taught 1st grade for six years at East Marshall Elementary. My family was blessed to move back to Pella in 2019 when I was given the opportunity to teach 2nd grade. I love spending my days watching students grow as learners.
My husband, Daniel, and I love spending time with our sons – Benjamin and Austin. I enjoy singing with my dad and sister, scrapbooking, playing games, and going on bike rides with my family.
