Activity Results:

  • The 8th grade volleyball teams played well last night; defeating Newton 7-5. Amazing job 7th and 8th grade Lady Dutch!
  • For the 7th and 8th grade football games against Norwalk: Both green teams won, and both white teams ended in a loss after a tough battle against the Warriors. Hope all of the teams had a fun night of football!
  • The Dutch ran a great race at Newton; boys placed 2nd and girls finished 6th.
  • Top times for the runners were:  Boys: Josiah Wittenberg, Connor Gauley, Braden Rowe, Matt Nolder, Geordie Laidlaw, Ryan VanDonselaar, and Antonio Leovan.  Girls: Ashley Blommers, Chelsea Jorgensen, Kaina Geetings, Luci Laidlaw, Anna Childerston, Callista Webb, and Zoi Faro.

Reminders:

  • There will be an informational meeting in the cafeteria today during 10th period for anyone interested in running for Student Council. If you are in girls choir during 10th period today or cannot attend the meeting for another reason, there will be an additional informational meeting during 7th and 8th grade lunches on Friday.
  • Reminder that student council AND student ambassador applications are due to Mrs. Pentico or your social studies teachers by the end of the school day Mon, September 26.
  • Today is 7th Grade PE, 8th Grade Health and Girl’s Choir.
  • September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The 7th Graders are collecting DVD’s to send to hospitals where there are children staying and receiving cancer treatments. Please help by donating new or gently used DVD’s, in their case and rated G, PG or PG-13. You can also help by joining our “Cappin for Kids with Cancer” fundraiser and donating one dollar to sign up and wear a cap or scarf during the school day on Friday. You can sign up and take your donation to any middle school social studies teacher by this Friday, September 23.
