Activity Results:

  • It was a great conference meet for the 7th and 8th grade girls last night.  The 8th grade finished in 4th place and the 7th grade finished 1st! A highlight of the night was the 7th grade 4×100 and 4×400 teams setting school and conference meet records.  Great job ladies!
  • Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade boys teams on winning the conference track team titles last night. There were 47 PR’s, and many multiple top ten performances, 3 meet records, and 2 school records set last night: 100 Meter Hurdles: Nolan Clayberg (school record and new conference meet record), 800 Meter Run: Josiah Wittenberg (school record and new conference meet record), 1600 Meter Run: Josiah Wittenberg (new conference meet record) Amazing job!

Reminders:

  • Attention 8th grade volleyball players: There is an informational meeting about High School volleyball in Coach Brand’s room during 10th period today.  Please check in with your 10th hour teachers first and bring your laptops to the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please see Coach Brand sometime this week.
  • CALLING ALL PERFORMERS:  There will be a Student Talent Showcase on the morning of Thursday, May 31.  This last day of school celebration will feature the talented students of Pella Middle School.  We welcome singers, dancers, musicians, poets, actors, artists, and more. Get together with some friends or practice a solo act.  We are also looking for students who would like to emcee the show, either solo or with a friend. All acts, both performing and emcee, will be previewed by a teacher panel during 10th period and after school starting Monday, May 21  with callbacks on Thursday, May 24.  All lyrics and content of acts must have prior approval.  A sign-up sheet is in the office. See Mrs. Brand or Mrs. Pentico with questions.
  • Attention 8th grade football players:  If you are interested in playing Freshman football next year, plan on attending an informational meeting with Coach Mckinstrey and Coach Van Wyk on Thursday, May 10 during 10th period.
  • The student vs teacher badminton game will be today during 10th period in the gym. Check in with teachers first.
