-Congratulations to the Pella girls track teams on their outstanding performances at the Osky track meet. The 8th grade girls took second in the meet, and the 7th grade girls were the champions of the McCormick Relays. There were school and meet records set:
7th – Emily Holterhaus – High Jump 4’11” – meet and school record
8th – 4×100 – Ava Rowe, Maddie Canfield, Annika Pingel, Emily Vos – 53.84 – meet and school record. Annika Pingel – 200 meter dash – 27.09 – school record
Today’s Lunch: soft shell taco or chicken fajita Tomorrow: potato crusted fish strips
Remember:
-Flyers for Berean Baptist Vacation Bible School flyers are available in the office.
-Brochures for Central Dutch Soccer Camp for grades K-8 are available in the office.
-Don’t forget to sign up for the talent show! See Mrs. Brand or Mrs. Pentico with questions.
-Orchestra is performing tonight at 7:30 in the HS auditorium.
-Boys track will be dismissed at 3:00 to leave for the meet in Oskaloosa, girls track meet is at home at 4:30. Good luck to all!
-High school show choir auditions are coming up in a couple of weeks (the week of May 19). Mrs. Chaplin will be at 8th grade choir on Thursday this week with the sign-up. If you are not currently in choir, and wish to sign up for show choir, please see either Mr. Tangen or Mrs. Chaplin to add your name to the audition list. We are looking forward to a great season next year!
-Attention 8th grade football players: there will be a meeting for everyone planning on playing football next fall in 9th grade on Monday, May 12, at 2:45 during 10th period study hall in the cafeteria. Coach McKinstrey will be here to discuss what you need to know and hand out a lot of information.
