Today’s Celebrations:

-Great work on all the wonderful and hilarious parodies this year! Congratulations to Mrs. Bonjour’s class overall winner: Avery Van Zee, Dakota Ortiz, and Shawn Sytsma in “Cats are Lame” Good work gentlemen!

-Congratulations to the shooting team as they competed in trap, skeet, and sporting clays on Saturday.  In trap the squad of Allison Clark , Mitchel Clark, John Fetty, Tyler Sterk received 2nd place with Tyler Sterk getting High Over All.  Allison Clark was High Over All Female.  In sporting clays the squad of Teejay Brackin, Chris De Moss, Carson Reynolds received 3rd place in skeet and 2nd place in sporting clays.

-Great job to the 8th Grade Select Choir at the Tulip Time worship service on Sunday!

Today’s Lunch:  mandarin chicken  Tomorrow:  spaghetti with meat sauce

Remember:

-CALLING ALL PERFORMERS:  There will be a Student Talent Showcase on the afternoon of Thursday, May 29.  This last day of school celebration will feature the talented students of Pella Middle School.  We welcome singers, dancers, musicians, poets, actors, artists, and more.  Get together with some friends or practice a solo act.  We are also looking for students who would like to emcee the show, either solo or with a friend.  All acts, both performing and emcee, will be previewed by a teacher panel during 10th period and after school on Tuesday, May 20 with callbacks on Friday, May 23 as needed.  All lyrics and content of acts must have prior approval.  A sign-up sheet will be in the office.  See Mrs. Brand or Mrs. Pentico with questions.
-Anyone interested in traveling with People to People in the summer of 2015, there is an informational meeting this Saturday, May 10.  See the office window for more information.

 -There will be a Cross Country Meeting for 7th and 8th graders running next year on Friday, May 16th at 7:50am in Coach Tangen’s room at Jefferson. Come get your summer workout materials and sign up for summer training information.
