Today’s Celebrations:

We will be having a tailgate outside at lunch today to celebrate Nick Showman who is the Kid Captain for the home Iowa Hawkeyes game this Saturday. Congratulations Nick!

Today’s Lunch:  cheeseburger  Monday’s Lunch: mandarin chicken or galaxy round cheese pizza

Character Counts Recognition:

  • To Michael Sturve for turning in a phone and lunch card he found outside.
  • Thank you to Emily Van Noordan, Regan Arkema and Elise Thoreson for walking with some Jefferson students Wednesday afternoon. Your kindness and caring shined!
  • Recognition also goes to Jimmy Vilavanh for taking the initiative to clean up trash around the recess area.
  • And to Jack Edwards, Abby Schuring, Lucas Kiser Elizabeth Eisenbarth and Mikayla Schlerman for serving the teacher’s supper during conferences last night. Thanks guys!
  • Thanks to Courtney Thompson and Elsie Thoreson for helping set out lost and found!
  • And lastly, thanks to Camden Lambert and Tanner Dunsburgen for helping with games for the tailgater.


  • As part of National Bullying Prevention Month, you are encouraged to make friends with someone you don’t know at school. Most of us have experienced feeling left out. Help someone else from feeling the same way. Be a leader and take action. Invite someone new to sit at your lunch table or join you in an after school activity. Help spread kindness.
  • Applications for Pella Middle School Student Ambassador program are being accepted through October 15. Student Ambassadors serve as official hosts and hostesses for the middle school. Some duties may include assisting new students, and giving tours of the school to visitors and guests. Please see Mrs. Pentico if you are interested.
  • There will be a moped safety course offered at the police station this Saturday Call the statioin if you are interested in taking the corse.
  • There is a GT meeting today during 10th period.
