Announcements:
-Students who are interested in the summer CNA course should see Mrs. Van Zante today for more details.
-Students, all requests to change schedules are due by the last day of school. The form will be closed for the summer, so after the last day of school, any changes will require a teacher and parent’s signature.
-All seniors who are still working on Odyssey classes….please have your courses done by the end of the day on Monday, May 12. Please see Mrs. Roslien if you have any questions. Thank you.
-Bring your car to the Pella High School Car Show this Saturday, May 10th from 10:00 to 1:00 in the Madison Elementary parking lot! It is a $15 per-car entry fee but it is free to spectators. All cars are welcome, so get that junk out of your backseat and wipe off your dash! There’s a category for everyone!
Prizes will be raffled off at the conclusion of the event (free oil changes, merch, gift cards, and more). If you don’t want to enter your sweet ride, come enjoy some barbeque from the Amos Flava’ My Eatzz food truck and look at some amazing cars. Hope to see you there!
-Seniors Baccalaureate is on May 18 at 2:00pm. Get it on your calendar and invite your family!
-Pella High students – to recognize our teachers during teacher appreciation week, we will have a table set up at lunch for you to write a note to a teacher in general or a teacher who has made an impact in your life. Today is the last day the table will be set up. Please stop by!
Activities:
-Anyone who has been involved in Speech and Drama this year AND anyone who is interested in being involved in the fall show next year please come to a meeting during I Learn B today in room 2006. We will hear information about the Union Street Players summer show AND announce the show for the fall. There are snacks!
-Congratulations to the Pelladium. They are finalists for News Team of the Year and Pella Publications staff members won 8 individual awards.
In addition Reyer Thomas, Sarah Hardman, and Genevieve Svenby were named Emerging Journalists. Myra McConeghey was chosen as one of the top 10 Emerging Journalists in the state by the Iowa High School Press Association.
-Congrats to the girls tennis team on their 2nd place finish at the conference meet and to the boys tennis team on their 3rd place finish at the conference meet.
-Good luck to the boys and girls golf teams as they compete today. Boys golf is dismissed at 2:30
