Congratulations to the following Pella High students and their success at the 2024 State of Iowa Technology Student Association’s STEM competitions.

  • Haden Papendick – 1st Place: CAD Engineering and 3D Modeling 
  • Grant Hartke and Jack Weaver – 1st Place: Structural Design and Engineering
  • Jack Weaver and Seth Vos – 1st Place: VEX Robotics
  • Meav Swank – 3rd Place: Engineering Design CO2 Powered Dragster 

-Congratulations to the Art Students who represented Pella High School yesterday at the Little Hawkeye Conference Art Show at Grand View University. 

Twenty pieces of their art were entered into 10 different categories. Pella High School placed in 7 of the 10 categories! The art work is currently on display in the case by the Auditorium.

Congratulations to:

Lorien McClure and Elsie Brenneman who had artwork entered into the show.

Jocelyn Lunsford with 2  FIRST Place drawings- one in Colored Pencil and one in Graphite drawing.

Kyla Barnes Graphite Drawing was awarded SECOND Place. 

Sienna Rhoten earned a FIRST Place in Hand Built Ceramics .

Lucy Carlson earned a FIRST Place in Ceramic Sculpture and a THIRD Place in Hand Built Ceramics.

McKenna Salvador with a FIRST Place in Sculpture, a SECOND place in 3D Mixed Media and a THIRD place in ceramics sculpture.

Zachary Papendick won the First Place in Printmaking.

Sietje Beukelman won Second place in Printmaking.

Isabelle McCann’s print was awarded an Honorable Mention.

Also Recognized Yesterday as “All Conference Artists” were McKenna Salvador and Zachary Papendick.

-Good luck to the girls golf team as they host a meet today. Please dismiss girls golf at 3:00.

-Good luck to the boys JV golf team as they compete at Newton. Please dismiss JV golf after 7th period.

-Good luck to the girls track team as they travel to Knoxville. Please dismiss the girls track after 7th period.

-Good luck to the girls soccer team as they travel to Gilbert. Girls soccer is dismissed at 3:00

-Good luck to all the students participating in the Improv Show this week.
