Sophomores – Class ring presentation by Jostens on Tuesday, September 8th at 10:15 in the Auditorium. Please bring your laptop to the meeting.

If you have not picked up your parking permit and you are parking in the student lot please do so by the end of the day today.

The cast of You Can’t Take it With You will have a read through today at 1:30 in room 116. See Mrs. Jones with questions and conflicts.

Anyone interested in Speech team there is an organizational meeting on Tuesday September 8th at 7:30 AM OR 3:30 PM in room 116.

Athletics

The weight room will be closed after school today.

Students needing volunteer hours and would like to help at tomorrow’s XC meet, please see Mr. Otte TODAY. We need cart drivers and parking lot attendants.

A reminder for freshman football players that the bus will leave at 2:45 today.

Results:

JV volleyball won their quad going 2 and 1

Girls swim team with Newton defeated Indianola and Grinnell. Samantha Hedrick placed 1st in the 200 Medley Relay, 50 Freestyle and 400 Freestyle, both a new school record. Madeline Webb placed 3rd in 200 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 1st in 200 Freestyle relay. Both Madeline and Samantha placed 1st in the 400 Freestyle relay. Lindsey Blommers placed 3rd in the 200 Medley relay and 1st in 100 Breaststroke and 200 Freestyle relay.
