Did you know that more than 1,500 homeless teenagers sleep outside in the brutal winter nights in IOWA? If you want to help donate to Reggie’s Sleep Out please bring donations to the office.

Any students accumulating hours for the Distinguished Volunteer Program, please turn in your hours bynext week Wednesday. Forms can be submitted in the guidance office. We will collect hours at the end of each quarter.

Would you like to go on a city quest in Rome, spend a few nights with a family in Spain, explore a Gothic palace in France or repel down a tower wall in Italy?  As a People to People Student Ambassador you can travel to Spain, Italy and France in the summer of 2015 and do all this and more for 19 days.  There will be an informational meeting on October 25 at Drake University.  Go to peopletopeople.com or stop by the high school office for a sample itinerary and more information.

Congratulations to the Marching Dutch for receiving their 39th consecutive Division I “Superior” rating at the Iowa High School Music Association State Marching Contest on Saturday. They also received 1st place in class 3A at the Mid-Iowa Band Championships on Saturday evening! Thank you for a wonderful season!

Congratulations to Pella FFA’s soils judging team who competed at the state soils competition Sautrday. FFA received a gold rating and placed 8th overall in the state. Members included Amanda Stanley, Kent Beyer, Alaina Klyn, Ben Thomas, Alex Weers and  Zack D Bruin. Keep on digging pitletes!

Picture retakes will be Wednesday morning starting at 8:00 a.m. If you are having your picture retaken, please be sure to bring your packet of pictures with you. If you did not get your picture taken due to being absent, please be sure to have your picture taken even if you are not ordering.

There will be a boys swim team meeting tonight at 5:30 in the cafeteria for those interested in going out.
