Would you like to go on a city quest in Rome, spend a few nights with a family in Spain, explore a Gothic palace in France or repel down a tower wall in Italy?  As a People to People Student Ambassador you can travel to Spain, Italy and France in the summer of 2015 and do all this and more for 19 days.  There will be an informational meeting on

October 25 at Drake University.  Go to peopletopeople.com or stop by the high school office for a sample itinerary and more information.

Student Council will meet today at 9:30 in room 109 for a Homecoming recap and to discuss Breast Cancer Awareness activities.

Coats for Kids! Over the week-end spend time cleaning out your closets and help make a difference! Donations are being collected for gently worn or new coats, stocking hats, scarves, gloves, boots or sweatshirts through October 17. On October 30 at Jefferson Intermediate School, families will be able to pick out what they need. Donation box is down by Charma’s office.

Athletics 

On October 17 at our home football game will be a Paint the Stands Pink Night for raising awareness for breast cancer. Pink T-shirts are available for $5.00 in Charma’s office. Wear pink and get  free face tatoos, pink glow items and footballs at the game Help stop cancer on the first down! See fliers posted around building. Sponsored by Student Council, Pella Regional Health Center, KNIA/KRLS and Sports Page.

Results:

Girls Swim team with Newton defeated Boone. Kira Hanson placed 2nd in 200 and 500 Freestyle and 3rd in the 400 Free Relay. Samantha Hedrick placed 1st in 200 medley relay, 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay, and 1st and new pool record in the 400 Free Relay.  Sara Martin placed 2nd in the 200 medley Relay, 100 Freestyle, 1st in the 200 Free Relay. Madeline Webb placed 1st in the 200 Free, 2nd in the 400 Free relay and 3rd in the 100 Free and 200 Free Relay.
