Lunch Menu:

-The kitchen staff has let us know that the menus for Monday and Wednesday have changed.  Today we will have:

-Italian Meatball Sub

-Bosco Stick

Announcements:

-Trinity Christian College will be here at 10:00 am in the Senior Lounge and the University of Iowa will be here during Smart Lunch in the Commons.

–The student council coat drive begins today and runs through November 10.  Students and staff are invited to donate items such as coats, hats, gloves, and boots that are in good condition.  Items may be placed in the boxes near the main office.

-Tickets for reserved seats go on sale today at pellaschools.org/productions for Peter and the Starcatcher. Tickets are 5 dollars for students and 10 dollars for adults. General admission tickets are available at the door. The show runs November 2nd, 3rd and 4th at 7 pm. 

-Senior photos for the yearbook will be taken or retaken on Tuesday during A and B lunch in Mr. Brandt’s classroom (room 1213).

-Picture retakes are scheduled for this Wednesday, October 25.  Order forms are available in the office.

Activities:

–Congrats to the Varsity football team as they defeated Gilbert last Friday night. 

-Congratulations to the 59 students from Pella High School who auditioned for the all state band, choir, and orchestra on Saturday!

Students accepted into these ensembles represent the top 1% of all musicians in the state of Iowa.

Earning first alternate status were: Aidan Smith, Olivia White, Kolton Messer, and Nora Ausman.

Students selected to the all state band for their first time are:

Karsyn Lyons, Alloree Else, and Lucas Blake

Second year all staters include:

Kyler Nunnikhoven, Rachael Stratton, and Grace VanderBeek

Third year all staters include:

Penny Shriver, Eli Ebeling, and Tyler Mifflin, Hunter Johnson

Finally, representing Pella for the fourth time is Erin Mathes!

Students selected to the all state chorus for the first time are:

Luci Hopkins, Halle Robilliard, Hayden Dubois, Anderson Schirm, Sam Miller, Trace Hopkins, and Thomas Tangen

Second year all staters include:

Jorden Held and Grace Brown

Finally, congratulations to Kassi Speer for being selected to the all state orchestra!
