Announcements:

SENIORS:  Jostens will be here tomorrow to hand out your graduation items. Please plan to stop in the commons during lunch to grab your cap and gown as well as any other items you ordered.

Activities:

-Whether you love to sing in the car, the shower, or on stage, we would LOVE to have you in choir! No matter your experience level, there’s a place for you.  Auditions are April 6th, 7th, and 8th.   Email or stop by to see Mrs. Robilliard or Mr. Gajewsky for more information!

-There will be a softball meeting at 6:45pm on Thursday, March 26th in the Team Room for those interested in going out for softball. 

-Congratulations to Abner Erickson and Kyler Lyons for being accepted into the 4A All-State Jazz Band!

-Congratulations to the Pella NASA team of Chetan Vanam, Meav Swank, Peyton Phillips, and Zoe Shaffer they were part of the winning team over spring break.   

Chetan won the Anita Gale award for leadership.  

Chetan, Peyton, and Zoe were selected to attend the international competition at Kennedy Space Center this summer.  

-The Pella High School Individual Events Speech Team had a successful day at State Speech contest on March 14th at Vinton Shellsburg High School. 23 student performances earned straight “ones” from the judges, 14 earned an overall “one”, and 3 performances earned a “two” rating. All State nominations were released on Monday, March 16th. 8 PHS students earned All State performing nominations, and  6 earned a non performing nomination. Our All Staters are Adilynn Montgomery, Delaney Ferrell, Elliot Williams, Mia Peterson, Olive Picray, Porter Haug, Allie Hellbusch,  Kate Ausman, Kenzie Kohlhaas, Lily Podmolik, Olivia White and Sprinna Ou. Isaac Vandenberg earned double All State nominations. The All State Festival will be held on March 30th at the University of Northern Iowa.
