Announcements:
-A representative from Indian Hills Community College will be here today over iLearn in the commons to visit with students.
-Seniors – We are getting ready to order diplomas. Please stop in the office to verify the spelling of your name.
-Please remember that all volunteer hour tracking sheets should be turned into the counselor’s office during the school year in which they are served. We encourage all students to turn in their sheets in a timely manner!
-Tags are still available on the Angel Tree. Please return your gifts to the main office, unwrapped, with the tag attached by December 15th.
-All current CNA students and any student who will be taking Exploring Health Careers in the spring need to come to the office after 2nd hour.
Activities:
-Congratulations to the Pella Fortè Dance Team on their outstanding performances at the 2026 ISDTA State Dance Championships on Friday. They were crowned State Champions in Class 5 Jazz and Class 2 Military, placed 4th in Class 11 Pom, earned an Excellence in Academics Award, and were awarded a “Be Bold” Award for their Military Performance. Freshman, Goldie Feldman took home 6th Place in Class 8 Dance Solos and Senior Becca Winegardner was a recipient of an ISDTA Senior Scholarship!
-Congratulations to the High School Robotic’s team as they finished with 4 wins and only 2 losses in the 24 team Des Koines Metro league tournament on Saturday.
-FCA is hosting a huddle this Friday, December 12, at 7:00 in the main gym. There will be a speaker, snacks with hot chocolate, and a Christmas game. Feel free to wear your Christmas sweaters! Hope to see you all there!
-Congrats to the boys basketball team on their win over Norwalk last Friday.
-Congrats to the girls wrestling team on their 3rd place finish at Newton. Adelyn Smith placed 1st in her bracket and many others placed in the top 3.
-Congrats to the boys wrestling team as they won 2 duals this weekend. Ty VanVliet and Carter VanKley went 5-0 on the day.
-Congrats to the boys and girls bowling teams as they competed this weekend. The girls placed 4th and the boys placed 7th.
-Congrats to Canaan Dunham as he placed 30th at the Nike Cross Nationals.
-Good luck to the choir as they host a concert at Douwstra tonight.
