A reminder that from now on you must have money in your lunch account or cash to purchase any extra ala carte items at breakfast or lunch time.  If not, you may only get a breakfast or lunch.

Today is your last chance to sign up and audition for show choir next year.  Have you considered trying something different?  It is not only a fun activity, but a great way to make new life-long friends.  See Mrs. Chaplin TODAY if you are interested.  Last auditions are after school.

Students schedules for the 2015-16 school year will be handed out at lunch today.

 

Athletics

Cross Country will have a meeting after school today in the study hall room 113 and tomorrow morning at 7:45 a.m. Please plan to attend one of the meetings for information on summer workouts and next season.

The Lady Dutch Tennis Team fell to Cedar Rapids Xavier 0-5 in the Team Regional final in Iowa City on Saturday, May 23.

 

The Boys Tennis team placed in the top 8 for the 2nd straight year and finish a great season at 10-3. Jamison Roozeboom and Tom Pettit will represent the Dutch team at the individual state tournament May 29-30.

 

Congrats to the Boys Track and Field team on a great state meet.  The team finished 7th over all with 8 events placing. Congrats to all the team members for a great year!

  • 7th Places:  Chase Van Sant -100 meters, Austin Hill -Shot Put, Payson VandeLune – 800 meters
  • 6th place: Tyson Wassenaar Discus
  • 5th Place Medley Relay: Nathan Henry, Avery Van Zee, Sawyer Burton, Payson VandeLune
  • All-State Honors to: Garret Jansen in both Shot and Discus for placing 2nd.
  • 4×800 Relay of Sawyer Burton, Travis Dingeman, Ben Warner, Payson VandeLune for placing 2nd

 

Girls Track team placed 5th at State. The 4 x 400 relay team Lydia Van Ee, Makenna Boggaard, Annika Pingel and Mackenzie Gustafson winning first place. 4 x 100 relay team of Sara Tallman, Paighton Malek, Jessica Holterhaus and Emily Vos placing 6th. Kelcey Blommers placed 10th in the 1500 Meter, Lydia Van Ee placing 5th and Coriin McKinstrey placing 6th in the 100 M Hurdles. Paighton Malek placed 5th in the 100 M Dash. 2nd place in the 4 x 100 Shuttle was Kiki Pingel, Corin McKinstrey, Emma Thoreson and Lydia Van Ee. Congratulations to the state participants and the team for a fantastic year.

Last weekend at State Track the girls team set 6 school records and placed 9 events including the State Champion 4×400 team of Lydia VanEe, Makenna Bogaard, Annika Pingel, and Kenzie Gustafson.
