Lunch

Today for  lunch will be having a Mexican Buffet in the cafeteria – go through the line and take your lunch and eat it on the front lawn.

 

Announcements

Senior Breakfast on Tuesday morning – HS staff will be omelettes to seniors on the front lawn starting at 7:30.

 

Choir Concert is on Monday.  Call times are:  Select choir at 5:45pm and concert choir at 6:15pm.

 

Congratulations to the shooting team as they took first place in skeet and trap on Thursday night. Good luck as they compete this weekend in Ottumwa at the South East Iowa Conference Trap shoot.

 

Good Luck to the Symphonic Band members as they perform at the Iowa Bandmasters Association Spring Conference.  Their performance is at3:00 p.m. in the Marriott Grand Ballroom in downtown Des Moines.

Athletics

Congratulations to the boys track and field team on winning last night in the Class 3A state qualifying meet. 1st place finishes to: Garret Jansen in Shot Put with a new school record. Chase Van Sant in Long Jump, Payson Vande Lune in the 800 Meter Run, 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 4 x 800, and the Medley Relay.  2nd place for Garret in Discuss.  Many 3rd and 4th place finishes are waiting to see if they get at large berths for the state meet.

 

Congratulations to the Girls Track team for winning last night’s State Qualifying meet.  Sixteen events have automatically qualified for the State Meet with hopefully more to come. The evening was highlighted by many PR’s including school records by Tess Roorda in the 1500m and the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team.
