Reminder:  From now on you must have money in your lunch account or cash to purchase any extra ala carte items at breakfast or lunch time.  If not, you may only get a breakfast or lunch.

 

Sophomores please check your email for Student Council ballots. Please vote for 3 candidates. Your ballot will be thrown out if you vote for more than 3 candidates. Vote by tomorrow, May 13.

 

Show Choir auditions will be held next week before and after school.  Please see Mrs. Chaplin to sign up for an audition time.  Consider joining our team!  We are also looking for an electric guitar player, trumpets, trombones, and percussionists!

 

All new Thespian and current Thespians meet after school today briefley in room 116 for induction.

 

Speech and Drama Banquet tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  All who particpated in Speech & Drama are welcome.

 

Athletics

Attention Football Players:  There will be a meeting for everyone planning on playing football next fall on Wednesday, May 13, at 7:40 a.m., in Room 113 (big study hall).  If you are unable to make it, please see Coach McKinstrey for info.

 

Results:

Girls Tennis tied for second in the conference behind Grinnell with Lily Roozeboom, Bronwyn Metcalf, Lauren Kriegel, Alli Dingeman, Elyse Sadler and Cecily Johnson placing in singles and doubles.

 

Boys Tennis placed first in the conference with Sam Dykstra, Nathan Chaplin, Jamison Roozeboom, Tom Pettit, Colin Jones and Ani Tangellapalli winning singles and doubles.

 

Girls Golf won the Knoxville Invitational and their 3rd straight invite.

 

Congrats to the boys track and field team on a great finish to the regular season with a team victory at their home meet last night.  The team also set 3 new School Records last night and 2 meet records with 7 other 1st place finishes and 6 – 2nd place finishes.

Chase Van Sant  in the Long Jump, a New School Record and meet record

Garret Jansen in the Discus, a New School Record and meet reccord as well as a school record in the Shot Put.
