A nurse aide meeting will be held today in the cafeteria at 9:30 for those signed up to take the class next fall.

Students, if you are interested in being a PHS Ambassador next school year, please stop in the guidance office and talk to Mrs. Manning or Mrs. Thompson.

On Tuesday, room 113 (the big iStudy room), will be used for AP testing all day. Students with an iStudy in room 113 on Tuesday will need to report to the cafeteria. Fifth period iStudy students should report to the library.

Congratulations to the Pella Band Department for their participation at the Iowa High School Music Association State Large Group Contest on Friday.  The Pella Concert Band received a Division 2 “Excellent” rating and the Symphonic Band received a Division I “Superior” rating.  Both bands played extremely well and have a lot to be proud of.  

Senior Band members need to report to 1st period band this week on Tuesday and Wednesday.  

Anyone who participated in Speech and Drama events this year is invited to attend the potluck banquet on Wed. May 14th at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Sign up on the door of room 116. Today is the last day to vote for Thespian officers for next year – please vote today in room 116.

Seniors – please stop in the office and pick up seniors check out sheet if you haven’t already.

Shooting Team

Dutch shooting team on Saturday took top 3 squad places, 6 of the top 10 individual places and Kolbie Van Dusseldorp and Trent Schippers were the top two individuals with scores of 49 and 47.  Well done.

Athletics

Girls Golf, Girls  and Boys Tennis conference meets have all been postponed to tomorrow.

Softball will begin practice today.  Pitchers and catchers will begin at 3:45 while everyone else be ready to begin practice at 4:15. Please be sure your physicals are up to date. If you have any questions, please see Charma.

Boys Soccer:  Be sure to listen for any announcements during the day, and check the shared weekly calendar, Twitter, or text a coach if you are unsure about whether the game is on.  JV boys should report to the Complex by 5:15pm today.

Varsity Boys soccer should plan on practicing at the Complex at 3:45, but should be prepared for a 3:30 light indoor practice in the Big Gym if necessary today.

Girls Tennis came in 3rd in their invitational on Saturday

Boys Tennis defeated Grinnell on Saturday.
