ANNOUNCEMENTS

After Spring Break – March 20:
  1. East Entrance will be open to students
  2. Athletic Department will transfer to the East Wing
  3. Students may enter either the front entrance or the east entrance after 8:25 — Each is a secure entrance
  4. Cafeteria/Commons will be open in the East Wing
  5. Lunch will remain three lunch periods until the kitchen staff is ready for two lunch periods
  6. Seniors with Open Campus privilege in the building will be expected to be in the commons — Seniors will not be allowed in the library
  7. Weight Room will be transferred to the East Wing the week of March 27 or April 3

Marion County Fair Queen Applications are now available in the office.  The Marion Country Fair Queen Competition is open to girls ages 16-21 and offers a great way to practice interview skills and public speaking.  The Queen will go on to represent Marion County at the Iowa State Fair.  Applicants DO NOT need to be members of 4-H or FFA.  Applications are due on Friday, May 5.  The Marion County Fair Queen Competition is scheduled for Saturday, June 24.

 

ATHLETICS

 Good Luck to the boys and girls track teams today as they travel to Grinnell!  Please dismiss all Track athletes at 2:00 pm the bus will leave from the Team Room at 2:15

There will be two optional Girls Golf Practices over Spring Break.  Thursday March 17 and Friday March 18.  We will meet out at Bos Landen Range from 3:30-5:00 on Thursday March 17th.  First official practice will be Tuesday March 21stat Bos Landen Range.  Please be sure to follow the updated golf schedule linked from the handbook.  Remember that Physicals must be completed and handed in to the Athletic Office before you can practice.  Have a great Spring Break!  Coach Tangen
