Announcements

Our show choirs traveled to Dallas Center-Grimes for competition on Saturday.  Our prep group, Bravo (the new mixed JV group) received 1st place in the prep division.  Our varsity group, AcaPella, received 1st place in 3A, best band, best choreography, and were named “Grand Champions” in the finals.  Congrats to all involved!

The Pella High School Speech team took 23 entries to District Large Group Contest in Montezuma on Saturday. 14 entries received a “I” rating and will advance to State. 9 entries received a “II” rating. All groups will perform at All City Speech Night in conjunction with Pella Christian on Thursday, January 29th. The evening starts at 7 pm in the Pella High Auditorium and there is a free will donation at the door.

Adaptive P.E. Students – bring your white Fear the Dutch t-shirt tomorrow.  Meet at the east doors at 8:30.

Athletics

Any prospective boys soccer players who are interested in participating in the UNI or William Penn indoor soccer tournaments need to contact Coach Solomon BEFORE Friday. These tournaments are available only for athletes who are not currently committed to a winter sport.

Results:
Varsity girls and boys basketball teams defeated Dallas Center-Grimes
Wrestling placed 3rd out of 5 at Williamsburg on Saturday. Chase Petty and Jake Speltz both with a 1st place and all wrestlers for varsity and JV placed in the top 5. Congrats to Chase Petty who broke the school record for career wins and Jake Speltz broke the school record for pins in a season.
Congratulations to the Forte team on their performances Saturday at the MA Regional Competition at Southeast Polk High School.  The JV Kick Team earned a Superior Rating, High Point, Technique and Choreography awards.  The Varsity Team earned a Supers Sweepstakes Award as well as choreography and technique awards in Pom, Kick and Military.
