Seniors: If you are planning to attend a 2 year community college, a trade school or a 4 year college, Dollars for Scholars wants to give you a scholarship! Please remember to attend the Dollars for Scholars application orientation on Tuesday during 5th period. Please come to the auditorium after 4th period with your laptop. The meeting will be done in time for you to have lunch.

 

Congrats to all of the Pella show choirs as they traveled to DCG this weekend!  Pella had a complete sweep during the daytime round: 1st place in middle school, 1st place in high school Prep with Bravo, and 1st place in high school 3A with AcaPella.  In the finals, AcaPella also received best band and were the Grand Champions overall.  They are on to State next Monday, Feb. 1, in Marshalltown.

 

Today is the deadline for the 3 Rivers Reading Council’s Poetry and Creative Writing Contest. Please get your entries to Mrs. Linn today.

 

Thank you to everyone who volunteered at or participated in District Large Group Speech Contest on Saturday here at Pella High. Our Pella High School Speech team advances 16 of our 19 entries to State on February 6th in Cedar Rapids.

Today is the deadline to order the Coaches vs Cancer t-shirts for the Pella-Pella Christian game.

Results:

  • Basketball teams defeated Dallas Center-Grimes Friday night.
  • Bowling defeated Knoxville on Saturday and the boys remain undefeated and the girls lost.  Dakota Shalin and Cameron Miller had personal bests.
  • Wrestling lost at Williamsburg.  Ethan Speltz and Ashton Messer placed 3rd, Aaron Born and James Van Gorp placed 4th, Andrew Whitten and Zach Van Donselaar placed 5th.
